On Sunday 13th November 2011, at 6 pm in Norwegian Academy of Music, Majorstua, Oslo, there will be concert of works composed by Polish musician Pawel Mykietyn. Free entrance, meet the composer and have a glass of wine. For Norwegian audience, he might be known as creator of music for the movie “Essential Killing” by Jerzy Skolimowski.
Pawel Mykietyn is widely considered as the most celebrated and recognized current Polish composer. Polish press described him as a “successor to the three greatest- Witold Lutosławski, Henryk Mikołaj Górecki and Krzysztof Penderecki”. His latest masterpiece-the III Symphony inaugurated the assumption by Poland of her first EU Council Presidency on 1 July 2011.
The concert was organized on initiative of Aleksandra Sobon, Polish pianist living in Oslo in cooperation with the Embassy of Polish Republic in Norway.
